Catch of the day: Face wash

What: Grown Alchemist Gentle Gel Facial Cleanser

Why: In the morning I don’t have to remove make-up, but I still like to wash my face with a gentle cleanser do get that fresh feeling of freely breathing skin. This one from Australian organic brand Grown Alchemist with its delicate blend of botanical extracts smells fantastic and leaves my face fresh, calm and soothed.

Green Factor: Full of organic botanical ingredients and powerful natural actives. So good!

Catch of the day: Hair mask

What: Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask

Why: Once a week, I give my hair that extra treat with a good hair mask. This one is more than good: it’s awesome! My hair always feels so soft and rejuvenated, and my scalp all healthy and good. Only downside: the dispenser. I don’t like it. It only releases a tiny bit, so you have to push something like 20 times.

Green Factor: 100% natural rainforest grown

Catch of the day: Haircare

What: Grow Gorgeous Cleansing Conditioner

Why: I’ve heard so much about this no poo hair care that I finally gave it a try. What I really liked is that you only need one product (it’s an 11-1 product – take that!). No additional shampoo, blow dry lotion, styling products, anything. It’s very gentle and it wouldn’t dry my hair out. I found it a little bit itchy on my scalp, though. It’s a good product, well worth a try, but still doesn’t beat my favourite hair products from Cowshed.

Green Factor: No poo, paraben and sulphate free, but not entirely green. Also: contains palm oil which I try to avoid. Too bad for the environment!

Catch of the day: Body Lotion

What: Burt’s Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion

Why: My dry skin needs its daily portion of a good moisturizing body lotion. This one is all natural, non-greasy and melts into my skin easily, leaving it well nourished. Not such a big fan of the smell, though… But since I like the formula I don’t give up on them and try a different scent next time.

Green Factor: Yes, yes!

Catch of the day: Mascara

What: Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Baby Doll

Why: This is my favourite mascara. I have already pretty long lashes, hence I’m rather looking for something that deeply pigments and curls them, so my eyes look more open. This one has it all. The wand coats all my lashes in one stroke and gives me thick, but still flirty and feathery lashes. It also doesn’t flake off my lashes like other mascaras do, but still washes off easily.

Green Factor: There have been greener weeks on The Roaring Prettiness, haven’t there…
