Catch of the day: Suncare

La Roche Posay

What: La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Ultra-light Spray

Why: With my sensitive skin, I like to apply a SPF 50+ sunscreen. Alas, most SPF 50+ sunscreens are sticky and leave white marks. Not this one. Formulation-wise, this one is perfection. Super light AND high protection. Because tomato red skin is not a good look.

Green Factor: Unfortunately not. Please, please leave your comment if you know a natural sunscreen which is light and has high protection. Much appreciated!

Where: Falken Apotheke, Lucerne (CH)

Also available in: many other pharmacies

Catch of the day: Setting Mist

Supergoop Setting Mist

What: Supergoop Setting Mist with Rosemary SPF 50

Why: I don’t always like to apply sunscreen, but I want to be protected at all times. This refreshing setting mist with SPF 50 is the solution. I just spray it on as a finishing touch to my make-up in the morning. Great stuff!

Green Factor: May contain palm oil, but apart from that, there is nothing irritating in this super product.

Where: Sephora, The Maine Mall, Portland (USA)

Also available on: If I only knew!

Catch of the day: After sun

Ligne St Barth

What: Ligne St Barth Aloe Vera Gel with Mint

Why: Such a luxurious after sun/after shave which melts into my skin instantly, leaving it *so* refreshed and soothed. It’s like a spa at home.

Green Factor: Nah, unfortunately not completely – contains silicone oil. I wish they’d change that! Apart from that: nothing to complain about.

Where: Art Deco Hotel Montana, Lucerne (CH)

Also available: Look for spas that use Ligne St Barth products

Catch of the day: Face Mist

Kiehl's Face Mist

What: Kiehl’s Cactus Flower & Tibetan Ginseng Hydrating Mist

Why: I like having a moisturising face mist at hand in winter time when my skin needs a little pick-me-up during the day. Do I need it? Nope. But it’s still a nice feeling when I spray it on.

Green Factor: Kiehl’s is not an organic brand, but this face mist has no questionable ingredients.

Where: Globus, Lucerne (CH)

Also available: Kiehl’s stores worldwide

Catch of the day: Booster

Clarins Booster

What: Clarins Booster Energy

Why: Skin revitalisation for sleep deprived new mums – just mix a few drops with any face cream. Love it!

Green Factor: Clarins is not a natural cosmetic brand, hence I don’t usually use their products. Its boosters have no scary ingredients, though, so I love mixing a few drops into my usual face cream after a sleepless night.

Where: Marionnaud Pilatusstrasse, Lucerne (CH)

Also available: in pretty much every perfumerie
