Why hello strangers, it’s been a while. The reason that the Roaring Prettiness has gone pretty much dead silent is that seven months ago our second son, Henry, was born, and by no stretch of the imagination do I find the time for some regular posts anymore. What’s more, I found those latest beauty posts I did pretty dull. Didn’t you? But it still never stopped nagging me that I gave it all up. Blogging has been a lot of fun, after all! So what to do, what to do? At the hen party of a very good friend of mine a couple of weeks ago, the bride convinced me to find another way to go back on track. The blog posts are too time consuming for my current life, true, but there had to be something I was able to do. What is more, she also told me that I needed to be seen, that my whole blog was a tad too anonymous. Point well taken. And I was infected again. Long story short: I’ve found a way to kill two birds with one stone, and it’s called Instagram. Instagram allows me to do posts in only minutes and I could also start sprinkling in some pictures of me. That was easy! And since I not only love travelling, beauty and food (and I will still post about it), but am also seriously passionate about fashion, I started blogging about what I’m wearing. Fun! Although it still feels quite a bit awkward to post pictures of myself, to be honest…

Whatever, I decided to keep on doing these fashion posts. The idea I have in mind it is to show you how I dress. How I *really* dress. Meaning, I don’t want to throw on only the latest season’s pieces for a quick pic with an added link on where to buy it and then get changed again. Because for me, this is not what fashion is about. What I’m truly passionate about is to deep dive into my closet and come up with new combinations. Some of my pieces are new, but others might be 10 years old, and haven’t been worn in ages. But suddenly I have an idea on how I could wear it – and get a kick out of it as if it were brand new. Now that’s what I love about fashion! Call me the queen of combination. My friends know what I’m talking about…

Get for example my latest post: I bought the dress I’m wearing more than 7 years ago when visiting friends in Dublin. It’s from Oasis and cost close to nothing. But combined with my Stella Mc Cartney bag and Tory Burch slingbacks, it’s still one of my favourite combinations to wear to work in summer.

With my fashion posts I therefore don’t want to give you the feeling that you need to go and spend money on this and that new piece, but rather inspire you to new combinations, to check out brands you haven’t thought of – to have *FUN* with fashion the way I have. Hope you like it!

Now hop over to Instagram, check me out and follow me if you like (roaring_regi)!

What do you say about this slightly changed version of my blog?? Do let me know!
