Blushes, for me, are one of, if not my favourite and most frequently used beauty products – probably right there with mascara. Blushes instantly give you a healthy, fresh and glowy look, no matter how bad you slept (and that without the strong coffee). It’s really important, though, to find the right colour! Only natural blushing feels good and looks beautiful. For me, for example (fairly light skin, brown eyes, dark blonde hair), apricot doesn’t work – as much as I wished it did. Over the years, I dedicated to the following blushes:
Bobbi Brown – Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks – in Pale Pink (11)
My everyday blush for a natural and healthy-looking rosy glow. Non-sticky, and can even be used on the lips – which makes it very convenient to bring along for a weekend getaway.
Bobbi Brown – Blush – in Rose (3)
My only powder brush and the longest in my possession. This one lasts forever (I bought it almost 7 years ago)! I use it with my Too Faced Kabuki Brush. Because of its powdery consistency, this is the most sculpting option of all my blushes. The formula is buttery soft and silky and glides on smoothly. There is the tiniest amount of shimmer in it that adds the most subtle prettiest glow to your cheeks.
Estée Lauder – Pure Color Cheek Rush – in X-Pose Rose (03)
Probably the trickiest to apply because of its very highly pigmented formula. Even though it’s a water-light gel, you only need a teeny tiny amount. Sparingly pump on your fingertip, and then blend quickly. If you do it right, you get the most perfect result. And it lasts all day. Colourwise, this really is my favourite.
The latest shade to join my blush collection. And I have to admit: it *probably* was the cute packaging that pulled at my strings here… BUT, it’s also an incredibly pretty colour that gives you this post-exercise glow, without the exercise.
What are your favourite blushes?

The Dior one is very subtle, if you want to start small :)
