There’s nothing better than a really good barbecue. We Swiss *love* barbecues. With the first rays of sunshine, the smell of grilled sausages and steaks starts to pervade streets and gardens around the whole country.

One of my favourite work colleagues even has his own little fancy red grill next to his work desk, so we can go for an impromptu BBQ whenever we feel like. How cool’s that?

Now, mustard and ketchup to go with your meat is one thing. But why not surprising your guests with this crackling little sauce I like to whip up for a BBQ. It’s bold, zingy and just lives for grilled meat.

You’ll need:
1 pomegranate
2 tsp freshly squeezed lime juice
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
4 tsp olive oil
4 sprigs of parsley
Salt, pepper

Chuck your parsley into a food processor and pulse until it’s finely chopped. Mmmmh, the smell of it! Pour into a pot together with the deseeded pomegranate and add the lime juice, vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper.

Look at that! I promise you, with this you’ll start the season with a bang!
