Last Christmas I received this most amazing aroma body butter from Aldo Vandini. It smells of tamarind and ginger and has just the perfect texture. It’s light enough for your skin to quickly absorb it, but at the same time it’s rich and creamy, and a proper feast for dry and sensitive winter skin like mine.
And then the smell of it! It has this beautiful smokey and sensual scent that is just so perfect for winter time. And because it’s not an overpowering scent, it’s great for layering it with other fragrances. I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of mixing scents to create something entirely unique. And when I mixed my Aldo Vandini Tamarind & Ginger body butter with Tom Ford’s Plum Japonais fragrance, I just created my own perfect winter scent!
In Switzerland, Aldo Vandini is available at Müller Drogeriemarkt. Tom Ford’s Plum Japonais Eau de Parfum Spray is available at the Zurich airport’s duty free store, Globus Zurich, or at Jelmoli Zurich.
Other nice winter scent combinations are also:
The Body Shop Almond Body Butter which is quite sweet, but in a good way! It has a thicker texture than the Aldo Vandini Body Butter, but despite its super-rich formula, it melts right into your skin. I layer it with Joop! Le Bain Eau de Parfum (available at Import Parfumerie, Marionnaud, and other perfumeries).
Korres Vanilla Cinnamon Body milk which smells just like Christmas (available at Globus or online at www.lookfantastic.com), and which I layer with Kiehl’s Original Musk (available at Globus, at Zurich airport’s duty free store or online at www.kiehls.ch). This is quite a strong and unique scent, but layered with Korres Vanilla Cinnamon Body milk, it makes another beautiful winter scent.
